Luxury Edinburgh Brasserie

The chic but informal Galvin Brasserie de Luxe brings Parisian style to the heart of Edinburgh and the design theme pays homage to the grand urban French bistros of Paris and Lyon, with its highly polished surfaces, ceramic tiles, archetypal lighting, and reflecting mirrors.

Its presentation is efficient simplicity with immaculate mise en place and courteous professional service. The atmosphere is redolent of the bustling cosmopolitan railway hotel restaurants of the past, where all the world seemed to pass through at one time or another.

Private Dining

Galvin Brasserie de Luxe offers a number of dining options suited to entertaining and socialising, business gatherings, discreet one-to-one meetings, or even parties. At the centre is a large oval bar with seafood counter for light lunching or whetting the palate prior to dining, and the ideal place for single diners. The Salon Privé can be booked for private dining for up to 16 guests or stand up cocktail party for up to 30. Or simply be served at your table.


Created by the Galvin brothers, the menu features a blending of classic French brasserie favourites and local seasonal specialities, to include Prix Fixe, plats du jour, Scottish Crustacea and a la carte menus. The kitchen is overseen by Head Chef Jamie Knox.

The Galvin Brasserie de Luxe epitomises the style, cuisine and atmosphere that established the Galvins' reputation at their first flagship restaurant, the Bistrot de Luxe on London's Baker Street, and the Galvin Brasserie de Luxe promises to be an equally popular feature of the Edinburgh social scene.
